This is Melissa Thompson and she has been part of this ministry since 2023. She is currently the Director over our Clinton location, and she is learning what it looks like to follow God wherever He leads. Over the years, she lived an immoral lifestyle where she became completely enslaved to addiction, but her life didn’t start out that way. She grew up in church and learned a lot about God as a child, but she never got into a relationship with God for herself. It wasn’t until the age of 43 that she was finally born again and started to get to know God. When she came into the program for the first time in 2022, she was still angry with God and wasn’t ready to change the way that she was living so she left early. This time around Melissa had finally had enough of being broken and finally surrendered to the call of God on her life. She became willing to do whatever it takes to change and has not looked back! Not only has God drastically changed her heart, but He has also given her a desire to follow Him no matter what. She has a heart to serve others and loves to tell people what God has done for her.

 

Her scripture that she stands on is Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.”
